This dataset includes all geocoded projects from the Government of Honduras’ Aid Information Management System (AIMS), which is called the Aid Management Platform (AMP), or Plataforma de Gestión de la Cooperación (PGC) in Spanish. The AMP was first implemented in Honduras in 2011 through a partnership between the Secretariat for Planning and External Cooperation (Secretaría de Planificación y Cooperación Externa (SEPLAN) in Spanish), and later with the Secretariat for Foreign Relations (Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) in Spanish) and a technical provider, Development Gateway (DG). The geocoded data were collected through direct engagement by DG and AidData with the SRE and the country offices of its development partners, which submitted the locational information for their projects.
This dataset includes all geocoded projects from the Aid Management Platform (AMP) managed by the Government of Honduras. It tracks $3,267,692,687.68 in commitments and $1,934,911,263.01 in disbursements for 379 projects across 5,028 locations between 1995 and 2014. Locations of projects in the AMP were geocoded using information gathered from in-country donor offices. For details about AidData's geocoding methodology please see the codebook included in the download. All tabular data files are provided as TAB seperated files (tsv). Please direct any questions or comments to info@aiddata.org.
