Full Description
This dataset includes all geocoded projects from the Government of Uganda’s Aid Information Management System (AIMS), which is called Uganda's Aid Management Platform (UAMP). The UAMP was first implemented in Uganda in 2011 through a partnership between the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development’s Development Assistance and Regional Cooperation Department and a technical provider, Development Gateway (DG). The geocoded data were collected through direct engagement by DG and AidData with the Ministry and the country offices of its development partners, which submitted the locational information for their projects.
This dataset tracks 565 geocoded projects across 2426 locations between 1978 and 2014. Data for $12,081,509,279.90 in geocoded commitments and $7,691,149,919.82 in geocoded disbursements are contained within the dataset. The included "project.csv," "locations.csv," and "transactions.csv" files are structured so as to be combinable with other v1.0 geocoded dataset releases. All tables in the data folder can be joined by AMP project ids. Please direct any questions or comments to info@aiddata.org.
