Full Description

This dataset estimates the values of U.S. economic partnership with 46 economies in the Indo-Pacific region. The dataset includes over 12,000 rows of data from 2012-2022, tracking more than 24 trillion in economic engagement. Funds are classified into eight distinct channels of contributions that were reliably quantifiable. These channels include: Bilateral Assistance, Multilateral Assistance, Investment Guarantees, Trade, Remittances, Foreign Direct Investments, and Philanthropic Contributions. These channels relate to two broad categories: U.S. Government-driven and U.S. Private Sector-driven. The dataset also includes variables for thematic sectors of interest such as health, education, infrastructure, environment/climate, and technology.
