Data Journalism Training on Global Development Finance

The Centre for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ-IBA)—a state-of-the-art journalism training center in Karachi, Pakistan—is collaborating with AidData for a specialized journalism training program focused on data-driven reporting on development finance, foreign aid, and economic issues.
This hybrid program combines asynchronous online learning with a week-long in-person workshop in Karachi, offering selected participants the opportunity to enhance their reporting skills and compete for story grants. Once accepted, participation is free.
The online component begins on June 20th, and the in-person workshop in Karachi, Pakistan ill be from July 14th-18th. You must be able to participate in both components to apply.
You must be one, or multiple, of the following to be eligible:
- Junior to mid-career journalist (3–10 years of experience)
- Journalist covering business, finance, or investigative beats
- Journalism student focused on economic and financial reporting
