Abena Konadu is an Associate Program Manager on AidData's Tracking Underreported Financial Flows (TUFF) Unit. She supports the team in monitoring underreported financial flows by conducting data quality assurance, managing research assistants, and contributing to data analysis. She also helps drive innovation in AidData's research by integrating AI tools into the TUFF Unit's data collection processes.

B.A., International Relations, Minor in Chinese Language and Culture, College of William & Mary

Prior to joining AidData full time, Abena worked as a Data Support Associate for AidData’s Tracking Underreported Financial Flows (TUFF) team. Abena graduated summa cum laude from William & Mary, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies and was a recipient of the Freeman-ASIA Award for study abroad in China. She is committed to learning about and engaging in development and has served as an AmeriCorps member to help prevent summer learning loss among students from underserved communities in Arlington, Virginia. She has also supported the Sadi Alice Foundation to raise funds for women's empowerment and sustainable development initiatives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
