Marcia joined William & Mary in 2012 as an Administrative Coordinator and was later promoted to Fiscal Specialist in the William & Mary Student Success Office, formerly known as the Dean of Students' Office, where she worked for almost 13 years to support the Student Success Thematic Area. Marcia then joined the Global Research Institute and AidData in March 2025 as a Financial Operations and Budget Specialist. When Marcia is not working, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, participating in her Christian faith activities, and exercising.
