By completing form on this page, you acknowledge your agreement to grant AidData and the College of William & Mary a non-exclusive distribution license in order to publish your working paper. The terms and conditions of this license are specified below.
Non-Exclusive Distribution License and Working Paper Availability Agreement
By signing and submitting this license, the signer below (hereafter, “Author”) grants to The College of William and Mary in Virginia (hereafter “W&M” or "AidData”) a perpetual, non-exclusive right to reproduce, and distribute your submission (including the abstract) (hereafter, “Work”) to the public, as well as the right to migrate or convert the Work, without alteration of content, to any medium or format for the purpose of preservation or continued distribution, specifically including, but not limited to, posting the Work on a publicly-accessible website.
AidData acknowledges that this is a non-exclusive license; any copyrights in the Work remain with Author or other copyright holder/s and subsequent uses of the submitted material by that person(s) are not restricted by this license. Author recognizes that this license does not include: (1) any requirement that AidData maintain the Work available to the public in perpetuity; or (2) and obligation by AidData monitor or control the use of the Work by third parties.
Author agrees that AidData may keep more than one copy of this submission for purposes of security, back up, and preservation.
Author represents that:
- The Work is his/her original work and that he/she has the right to grant this license to AidData;
- The Work does not, to the best of his/ her knowledge, infringe upon any third party’s copyright;
- If the submission contains material for which Author does not hold copyright, Author represents that he/she has obtained unrestricted permission by authorization of the copyright holders, or by operation of the law; and
- Such third party material is clearly identified and acknowledged within the text or content of the submission.
In the event of a subsequent dispute over the ownership of copyright to material contained in the Work, Author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AidData, and its officers, employees, or agents from any and all claims, suits, actions, damages and/or costs resulting from AidData’s use of the Work as authorized by this license.
If the Work is based upon work that has been sponsored or supported by any agency or organization other than AidData and/or College of William and Mary, Author represents that he/she has fulfilled any right of review or other obligation required by contract or agreement with the supporting entity.
As used in this license, “Work” refers the abstract of and the paper represented by the publication title entered into the form on this page.
By entering information into the form on this page, I, the corresponding author on this Work, agree to the terms of the Non-Exclusive Distribution License on behalf of myself and my coauthors.
